Disney Wordless Wednesday – Icons
It’s Wednesday! Time to get wordless…or almost wordless anyhow. I have words…so bear with me.
Focused on the Magic is focusing on Disney icons for the “Disney Wordless Wednesday” blog hop this week. In case you’re unfamiliar with Disney icons…each park has one. At Magic Kingdom, it’s Cinderella’s Castle and at Epcot, it’s Spaceship Earth. The enormous Sorcerer Mickey hat is the icon for Hollywood Studios and the Tree of Life for Animal Kingdom.
I chose to share this photo of Cinderella’s Castle taken from the TTA Peoplemover. It’s not spectacular or stunning but special to me nonetheless. It was taken December 2007, during training week for the inaugural WDW Moms Panel. If you look closely (click on photo), you can see a tripod and some equipment in the lower left corner. Just moments earlier, the Moms were there recording videos with the castle as a backdrop. Sigh.
What a neat picture! Very memorable moment! sigh! Looks like they had a beautiful day for the taping!
Cool, we both had the castle this week! I like the new look around here :)
Thanks, Amy!
It was so cool seeing the Moms Panel members…fantasizing what it might be like to be in their shoes. Still fantasizing. ;o)
Great shot and a great story to go with it!
Lucinda- that IS a great story with a beautiful backdrop!!
What a great perspective!
Great shot from the people mover!! Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE seeing pix like this from unique angles! (And I appreciate the explanation of where it was taken… so I can try and copy you! ;-)
Hey, I like your new blog look, too! The header is great! I’m in the process of a new blog design/move, too… :)
I agree with the unique angles in photos! I absolutely love it!
Always beautiful at any angle! It looks so much more majestic from this perspective.
Thanks, Mary! So glad you’ve joined us. Welcome!!
I’m happy you enjoyed them. :o)
Thanks, Didi!
Aw shucks, PT. Thanks!
Thanks, Sean! :o)
Thank you, Tami. If you run into any trouble during your move…don’t be afraid to ask me questions. I’m no expert, but I did survive my move and the experience is fresh in my mind…for now. ;o)
Awesome, Onna. Thank you! :o)
