Music Moves Me Monday – With Character (Disney)
This week’s Music Moves Me Monday blog hop is a freebie. With no theme to follow, I’m free to share any music I wish. I generally play along regularly on my other blog…but this week, I’m doing it Disney style.
Lately, I’ve been infatuated with two of Walt Disney’s Nine Old Men…Frank Thomas and Oliver Johnston.
As I watched the Frank and Ollie documentary for the fourth time this week, I ended up over in the Bonus Features where I found performances by the Firehouse Five Plus Two.
Frank and several other Disney employees formed the band in the 1940s after jamming together for kicks on their lunch breaks.
I loved their snappy, jazzy sound and instantly became curious about them. I wanted to hear more of their music so I went over to iTunes and sampled numerous Firehouse tunes there.
I decided to purchase a Firehouse song for my MMMM submission. It’s called “Milenburg Joys”.
Vacation photos accompany the music and were taken between November 1975 and February 2010. Each photo contains at least one popular Disney character.
.Well, look at you! Fabulous pics there you’re sharing thank you, and thanks for signing our linky today and joining us. Wish you could’ve made it earlier so you could’ve gotten more comments. Hope you had a chance to hop around a little and hear some of the fabulous songs the readers have. They were great this week. Well, hope to see you next week also and love that ragtime song you had along with your photos. Have a great week.
Yeah…probably my last week on the hop. I spend a day and a half making the videos so I’ll never be on time.
LOVE when you add your photos to the Disney music.
I adore your family photos, your kids always seem to be having such a great time – as do YOU!
Thanks for playing along again this week.
Thanks for having me. :o)
Love the jazz song you picked for your photos! You know I’ve only been to Disney World once….seems I’m missing out!! Have a great week
Thanks for stopping in Katie! :)
Thanks for visiting on Monday. Sorry I’m a bit slow to getting back to you. You know how life is, though, I’m sure. This is really a cute idea for your MMM selection and family vacation photos. So fun!
Am now your newest follower and am looking forward to more link ups in the future.
