All Depends on the Weather
Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World is right around the corner. I can’t help but be excited about it. Can’t stop wondering what it’s going to be like. I haven’t really planned anything though. The logistics have evolved and I need to get that ironed out first. I’m not a real uber-planner anyway. I’ve given up the idea of trying to control it all, and focus on enjoying it all instead.
The whole concept of Without-a-Care-in-the-World touring is minimal planning and go-with-the-flow attitude. There are the obvious pre-trip arrangements to be made…such as finances, travel routes, accommodations and packing but I choose not to stress over dining reservations and park schedules. There should be even less to worry about with the upcoming conference visit. Disney gets to do it all for me this time.
I can’t even believe I’m going to be spending so much time away from my kids. I’m with them ALL the time. In the last five years, I have been away from them less than one week’s time cumulatively. Luckily, they’ll have plenty to keep them entertained. I doubt they’ll even miss me.
With every trip, bothersome things come to mind. My biggest concern is the drive down and back…and the weather. February weather in the Midwest can be serious and bad weather can profoundly affect even the best laid plans. Ugh. I’ll be keeping a close eye on it.
I will officially add Evolved and Kimeters to my reservation this week. I’ll call and get them a room somewhere too. I hope there’s one left at Pop Century. That resort suits them perfectly and is affordable. After that, there’s the shopping! Can’t go to WDW without something new and this trip there may be a lot of new for me! I’m even considering a hair cut.
I’m expecting this to be one of the most wonderfully magical experiences of my life. It has all the right ingredients!
