Disney has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a young girl, I watched television programs hosted by Walt, himself and fell in love with Disney animated classics at the local drive-in theater.
My sisters and I played with Disney toys and listened to Disney storybook phonograph albums. For me…there’s just always been Disney…and it was the best…the most fun!
In the winter of 1975 my parents surprised us with our first real family vacation. We flew down to Orlando and visited Walt Disney World. There was no Epcot and the area around the Magic Kingdom was fairly bare…but it was the trip of the lifetime and as a family, we had the most fabulous fun there.
Evidently, I was impressed. I think I left my heart there…so I return often. To date, I’ve made fifteen trips to the Walt Disney World Resort. Not that many by local standards…but this converts to over 100 days in Walt Disney World parks.
My traveling style has changed over the years…I’m now much more laid back and mellow. Disney vacations are pretty expensive and I’ve found it’s best to go with the flow and not try and control too much with uber-planning. I call it my Without-a-Care-in-the-World style and it works very well for me.
This blog is a reflection of that style…a collection of my photos, reports and opinions of all things Disney…mostly as they relate to the Walt Disney World Resort…but always something Disney. I hope you’ll enjoy!
