Disney Almost Wordless Wednesday – Love is in the Air

“Love is in the Air” is this week’s “Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop”theme at Focused on the Magic.

When you think of romance at Walt Disney World, Splash Mountain probably isn’t your first thought (or your second, or third), but it’s mine. The reason being, this is the ONLY attraction that I’ve ever ridden as a couple with my significant other. We’ve been together now for over eight years and we’ve been to WDW nine times…yet we’ve only done this one attraction alone together. AND IT WAS FANTASTIC! Hopefully we’ll have many more rides like this in our future.

Disney Almost Wordless Wednesday – February

The theme this week at Focused on the Magic is “February Calendar Shots.” My choice is a photo of my middle child in front of Minnie’s gazebo back on December 10, 2010. Perfect fit for the month of love. Is it not?

The Disney Blog Hop – Special Smiles with the Characters

The Disney Blog Hop is back in full force over at Babes in Disneyland. If you’re a Disney blog reader or writer, click over and check out the posts from all the great bloggers that have joined in. If you have a Disney post to share, please join us!

This week, the topic is “Special Smiles with the Characters.”

Now, up until May of 2006, character interactions with my group were a really small part of our overall Walt Disney World vacation. The difference in 2006, was the addition of a new Disney travel buddy…my then 21 month-old daughter, Miss Ivanka. It was actually her 2nd visit to Walt Disney World, but she was able to participate so much more this time.

This was our first year for table service dining as well. It was quite a leap, but I really wanted to get out of the quick service and food court rut of our previous stays.

My baby girl was quite petite at the time and although I was a little worried that she might be terrified of the giangantic characters, I booked several character meals and hoped for the best.

I should have never worried and I wish I had taken the leap much sooner. Those interactions with the characters were some of the most magical experiences I’ve ever had in the World. Luckily…it was also the first year that my photos started getting good. I hope you can feel the Magic in these shots…and I hope I’ve helped you to have a very Disney day.

Smile everybody!!! :o)

Disney Almost Wordless Wednesday – Best of Times IV

Welcome to part four of my “Best of Times” photo series. The theme at Focused on the Magic this week is “Water, Water Everywhere.” I tried my best to fit the theme there, while sticking with my original plan and I think I did ok. I do have some water in two of my photos at least…and me in a bathing suit to boot. Now how brave is that?!?

My young prince did actually pull the sword from the stone. It usually only sticks out 4 or 5 inches past the hilt.

Disney Almost Wordless Wednesday – Best of Times I

Focused on the Magic

The Almost Wordless Wednesday theme at “Focused on the Magic” is Your Calendar Shot. Deb shared her choice for a calendar cover…a stunning warm welcome to the new year. Click her link at the end of this post to see the newest Disney Wordless Wednesday photos on her blog hop this week.

If I were to make a new calendar of my favorite Disney shots, I’d choose a 15-month format so I could showcase one photo from each of my past trips.

My first three calendar photos would be from 1975, 1985 and 1999.

Too hot and too tired to smile for the camera.

I’ll be digging through my Disney photo archives for the rest of my calendar and I’ll share them in the next four Wordless Wednesday posts. Watch for them!

Almost Wordless Wednesday – JOY! My Christmas Vacations

Recently, while sorting through my Disney Christmas photos, I realized for the first time, that I’ve been to Walt Disney World three times during Christmas. Never on Christmas Eve nor Christmas Day…but I’ve been during the lights and festivities of the holiday. Three times.

My DWW post this week is a slideshow created from photos and video of all three trips. Click play and have a good time. Dance. Sing. Fa la la la la and HO HO HO!

Disney Almost Wordless Wednesday – Thanks for the Memories

Each Disney trip I’ve taken with family has been special to me in some way. One that really stands out among all my Disney memories, took place in December of 2007.

My post this week is from a collection of photos from that holiday vacation with my sister and our families! I’m extremely thankful for the magic we were able to share together.
